Spurs suffered a fourth Premier League loss in a row as Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss struck after Richarlison had opened the scoring.

Sunday's loss means Tottenham are also now winless in seven top-flight matches, with that their longest streak since a run of nine in 2008.

Leicester had lost seven straight league games heading into the match against Postecoglou's side, only adding more pressure on the Australian.

Asked after the match if he believes he should remain in charge of Spurs, Postecoglou said: "Who knows? A fair chunk will say no."

However, Postecoglou added that he still feels he has the backing of his players.

"When you are a manager of a football club, you can feel vulnerable and isolated, but I don't feel that. 

"The players are giving everything. I focus on that and try and support the players.

"It hurts. It hurts a lot. The players gave everything again. We are going to look at a lot of things, but in terms of effort, I can't ask any more."

On the other hand, Japan is coming off a defeat at the hands of India's dominance, losing 1-4 to the Men in Blue. Japan's sole goal came from Matsumoto who scored with a lucky deflection to give his side their first and only goal of the game.

The Harmanpreet Singh-led side scored its first goal just in the second minute of the match via Sukhjeet Singh. This was in fact the first significant chance created in the match by any side.

Tottenham are 15th in the table, just eight points above the relegation zone, after winning one of their past 11 league games.

Postecoglou's side lead Liverpool 1-0 heading into their EFL Cup semi-final second leg, though, while a long injury list will soon clear up.

"It doesn't come into my consciousness trying to convince people," Postecoglou added on his future. 

"I've been around long enough that people will judge where we are at the moment, which hasn't been good enough.

"In the next 10 daysrich9, we should get some significant players back. We have fantastic opportunities to make an impact – I'm sure that will happen."
